Management System

Scalable and Extendable Lawful Interception Solution

Managing the Surveillance of Suspects or Services in Accordance with Legal Requirements

ATIS Interception Management System (AIMS) is a sophisticated and flexible interception management system that complies with the specific lawful interception requirements of a wide variety of telecommunications network environments.

It integrates seamlessly into the network infrastructure of telecommunications service providers and manages the surveillance of suspects or services in accordance with regulatory requirements.

AIMS supports multi-tenancy of several law enforcement agencies (LEAs), while keeping them strictly separated from each other.

Supported Networks

Supports All Kinds of Telecommunications Networks

AIMS connects to a large number of telecommunications networks and offers a wide range of hardware and software components to manage all types of intercepted data collected from all types of telecommunications networks.

System Architecture

Easy to Integrate

Marking function

AIMS transfers the data that identifies the telecommunications connection to be monitored, for example, a phone number, via the HI1/X1 interfaces to the provider networks.

Distribution function

Each connected LEA receives the intercepted communication related to the interception request it issued. In case of multi-marking, the intercepted communication is duplicated and each LEA receives its own copy.

Mediation function

AIMS receives the intercepted communications from the telecommunications networks, converts the proprietary formats (X2/X3) to the ETSI-compatible format (HI2/HI3/HI4), if required, and assigns network LIIDs to MC-LIIDs. This ensures that the intercepted communications are assigned correctly to the monitored connections and delivered to the LEA that requested the interception. This ensures that the intercepted communications are assigned correctly to the monitored connections and delivered to the LEA that requested the interception.

Benefits

Benefits

  • Highly scalable and extendable due to the modular architecture
  • Reduced technical complexity for LEAs: Regardless of the number of connected telecommunications networks, only one interface standard is implemented in their monitoring centers (MC)
  • Umbrella AIMS functionality allows effortless integration with third-party interception management systems
  • Simple and cost-efficient integration of network interfaces
  • Multi-vendor support
  • Optional load balancing if AIMS has to handle extremely high bandwidths of incoming data traffic
  • Mediation and distribution from telecommunications networks to the LEAs
  • Support of multiple LEAs with strict separation of the LEAs
  • Secure user authorization based on account management, user roles, access rights
  • Real-time overview of all requests for interception (markings), all connections to telecommunications networks, and the connected LEAs
  • Extensive marking reports for control and maintenance
  • Logging of all marking operations for administration and revision
  • Reduction of license cost because identical markings are consolidated before activation
  • Continuous product enhancements and development of new features
  • Support of the Klarios Monitoring Center and third-party monitoring centers
  • Automatic consistency checks to keep the intercept status up to date
  • Persistent data buffering if the intercepted communication cannot be delivered immediately to a disconnected monitoring center

Real-time overview of all requests for interception (markings), all connections to telecommunications networks, and the connected LEAs

  • Web-based Graphical User Interface (WebGUI)
  • Dashboard for structured and comprehensive overview of the connected provider networks
  • Wizard-driven workflows (e.g. for marking new targets) for common use cases
