Your tasks

  • Core & High Availability: You are responsible for the operation of our Oracle landscape (focus 19c) and master complex RAC clusters as well as data protection via Data Guard.
  • OS & Infrastructure: You are confident in the Linux operating system, optimize kernel parameters for database operation and use the shell for efficient management.
  • Proactive monitoring: You ensure availability through seamless monitoring, identify bottlenecks before they occur and continuously develop our monitoring strategies.
  • Concept & project work: You will develop sound technical concepts for our long-term modernization projects and initiate the strategic migration of our legacy 11g systems.
  • Analysis & troubleshooting: When complex challenges arise, you are the specialist for deep-dive troubleshooting - you analyze causes sustainably and optimize performance down to ASM level.
  • Storage architecture: You plan the distribution of resources using ASM technology and reliably back up our databases via RMAN.
  • Smart Operations: You have the freedom to make routine tasks more efficient through automation (e.g. via Ansible) in order to gain time for strategic tasks.

Your qualifications

  • Experience: You are an experienced database administrator with an analytical way of working and sound knowledge of the Linux environment. As a young professional, we offer you intensive mentoring in which we introduce you step by step to the enterprise features and OS optimization; as a professional, you appreciate the in-depth technical exchange within the team.
  • Specialized knowledge: You have (initial) sound experience in the interaction of RAC, Data Guard, RMAN and ASM or are keen to deepen your knowledge here.
  • Willingness to shape the future: You don't just want to manage the status quo, but are actively involved in concept planning for a future-proof infrastructure.
  • Mindset: You are looking for an environment in which technical expertise is truly valued and you can play an active role in shaping the architecture of tomorrow.
  • Background: A degree in IT or comparable training and very good written and spoken German.
  • Language: For this position you need to be fluent in German to at least C2 level.
